Above is the link where I vouched for Jesse. Its the second post in this thread. Just curious how the hell this thread gets about 200 posts in it and now I happen to stumble upon it months later. I would think that someone would have PMd me before they start bashing people for vouching for others. All this over $700. I would have made one phone call and simply told him to pay back the money immediately. And if that didn't work, I would have paid back the money myself (since my rep is more important than $700) and then, well, I wont get into the details of what happens then (nothing illegal or violent of course).

Just to clarify. I am in no way attacking the way the mods handled this. I think they did a stellar job. I'm just trying to make sure that it's 100% clear that I was not contacted in anyway during this "scam" investigation. And that it would be very unfair to have have my reputation tarnished in any way seeing as I was not given the chance to help clean it up this mess.

I have no idea how you missed it either except to say you must have never opened it again in the 6-7 weeks it was always near the top of the staking forum.

And since you said you thought it would be "unfair" let me say I think it would be completely fair for people to judge it exactly how it happened. You didn't incur the debt. How would we possibly know you could clear it up?

Quoted above is post #70 in this thread where I informed 2p2 shareholders in regards to when payments will be made on behalf of Young Money's 2k ftops score since he was in tourney lock down mode (He busted in the 2-day event mid-day sunday. A very busy time for him). Also PMd Aguskb and Madehand to make sure they knew what was up since they were the major share holders and helped them get paid early at Aguskb's request. Just kind of amazed how this was missed and that I wasn't PMd when this got all messed up, especially since I'm probably the only person who vouched for him who has a super solid 2p2 rep (I've got 50+ trade refs in the trading threads).

Once again I would like to say the mods did a great job and I am in no way criticizing how this was handled.

shmoo did pm me and also helped out during the ftops process... although i have no experience with him besides that, so far he seems like a legit guy and if he had know knowledge in this issue hopefully he doesnt get a bad name for himself, but thats about all the info i know

I'd be pissed also if someone I vouched for did what Jesse did. Don't think I'd bump a thread that was on its way to being forgotten just to raise the issue, but if I was concerned enough over how someone may interpret things maybe I would. I have no issue with shmoo over any of that.

We were in contact with the people we knew had the most contact with Jesse on a daily basis. Any other relationships were not apparent to us.

We even made posts asking for anyone who could put us in contact with the sudden backer that helped lead to the mess. Nothing came of that.

There was discussion about how to handle people who vouched- and eventually we all agreed that vouching when it goes bad kind of stands on its own for others to judge and by and large isn't infractible just as an act. More importantly it's really not enforceable by us. So we had no real reason to contact anyone else at that point, and the thread was very active- meaning it was impossible to miss if someone opened this particular forum between early September and late October.

It was an unfortunate series of events that had a good resolution eventually for the stakers, and that's really what our concern was here.
