Who am I:
Tom, 44, Germany
cv: studied math and cs, run a couple of different businesses including a computer store, 2 restaurants and a hotel, until my daughter was born (she is 5 now btw).
Games I want to be staked for:
MTTs up to 75FO, 20C, 10R
avg BI would be in the range of 18-25$, depending on backer. I'll mix in a lot of the tourneys with smaller field sizes, to keep the variance as low as possbible.
I will be playing FTP and Stars mostly but I am able to add any site backer agrees upon, esp Ps.fr offers an increasing number of juicy tourneys.
Volume:
400-500 Games per month
- depending on Stakes i play 20-30 tables
- like 2-3 MTT session/week
- during promotions/series 4-5 sessions/week
Poker Resumee:
in the end of 2008 i was stumbling into the world of online poker, starint off with SNGs and MTTS
2009 started pretty well at the 9man turbos followed by superturbos. Back then i was able to beat the lower limits and moved up pretty quickly, too quickly. When the variance hit me I got somewhat more serious, became member of stox/cr, booked SNG-coaching package with +eV/zerosum79 (meanwhile Dragtherbar) and finally had a session with Collin Moshman, who offered me a coaching for profit deal which I took for the first half of
2010 I was beeing coached on a nearly weekly basis by Bwammo (meanwhile also Dragtherbar) focussing on MTTSNGs on FTP which was like 90% of my play until Jun 2010. The rest of the year I focused on MTTs. I studied a lot more, read books, watched like every available coaching video, discussed hands, had sweat sessions and a lot of reviews with my skype buddies and finally had some resutls. Last Winter I was also very very lucky to win a promotion on CR and had a very nice coaching session with Matt Matros. We reviewed a 10R & some of the Final Table play in the DNG.
By the end of 2010 I increased my volume and decided to take a swing at cash games, basically for 3 reasons: a) You just cant grind only MTTs if you want to spend quality time with kids.
b) while I like to think I am okay at stacks of <30x and maybe decentish at
30-50x I have significant leaks when playing deep stacked, esp when facing the tougher opposition in the higher BIs and finally
c) variance
My plan was to move like 60-75% of my overall volume from MTTs to cash games. I managed to play enough Rush NL25/50 to get BlackCard pretty quickly and meanwhile doing okayish since I don't just focus on getting in as much volume as possible.
As you can see by the 2010-graph I wasn't running really in the end due a significant cashout I am now basically underrolled for MTTs, which is why I wan't to be staked.

Pocket-5s Profile
Can you trust me?
Well I think you can. I had a coaching for profit deal runinng for 6 months with
Moshman. I had to send in reports of my play on a weeklybasis, and I can't remember a single time anyone over there had a complaint.
I also sold pieces a couple of times in a german forum and once in Moshmans forum:
WCOOP,
FTOPS ME,
FTOPS,
Wccop.
btw: While I have been rather a lurker on 2+2, I have left a couple of traces over the years in other pokerforums. You might check them out, at least you will see I am not some troll trying to pull some crazy scam:
Poker Institut,
HEM-Roum,
Cardrunners or
Stoxpoker.
Other Topics:
Tools:
I am extensive user of any kind of tools to help/improve my game, like Pokerstove, HEM, TN,TNFT, Mods, SNGWiz, ICMExplorer, Holdemresources, I also use and occasionally write my own scripts and stuff if necessary for either in-game or after-game.
Security:
- RSA-Tokens FTP and Stars
- Notebook and USB-UMTS at hand as redundancy system
Personality:
Above sounds kind of nerdish, but I hope some folks of my Skype-crew will chime in here and tell I you am pretty relaxed and cool guy, tough most of them are half of my age or so.
I'd thrilled to find a backer where we can have a relationship beyond just moving money back and forth. There should be at least some sort of coaching aspect to the deal, standard stuff I think, like sweating, reviewing, discussing hands. TBH I have no idea how much you guys like the idea of staking someone who wants to play cash on a seperate roll, but we will see.
You'll get my personal details and anything else you want to know on request.
SO... if the volume and stakes are okay for you and you think my results justify such an investment and you want a guy with a brain and a heart, someone who is true to his word and willing to commit and learn, then lets go
