Hi there. I am not much of a forum goer intentionally, but this is just about the only way I know of at the moment to find a new backer. I am currently backed. This is my 3rd well known backer so you could say I have been around the block when it comes to this stuff. I have been backed long term by three big name recognizable online mtt players. Unfortunately in the first two instances, they got out of backing during our stints. The current backer has also given me fair warning he will be doing the same. So that explains why I am still backed but l am looking for someone new. I have several reasons for being backed and whatever success I have had and continue to have will not change my want to play without my money being on the line. This is an avenue of making money to me but I am a music producer and dj. This will never be more than that and I want to keep it that way. Makes each a escape from the long hours of the other. Im 22. I smoke weed. I don't party anymore because that's all I did for 3 years. I love music, and the competition in poker.

I only play on ftp. Under the sn Epiphany86. I play from 200-300 tourneys a month, would like to up that though. I dont even know what my career roi on this account is because when you run as bad as I have you just try and have as good of days and months as possible. But yeah this is the start of the 5th month I believe with my current backer, and we are down a small amount. I have something sick like 26 ft bubbles since we started. It's been sick. Can't win/hold/catch up anything with two tables left. But yeah my stats are nowhere near where they should be but still should more than suffice with speaking to any of my past backers. They can not only vouch for my integrity and professionalism in our agreements but also my ability and style of play.

I'd appreciate it if anyone who is interested just aim me directly (MichaelFitterer6). I rarely check here with how busy everything is holding down 3 jobs and poker and saying sane.

PS: For anyone interested I need the minimum level of any stake to be 20r and below and 215 below. I would also like to participate in several of the ftops. Possibly some live as well in the future if of interest.

Just an update who knows it may expedite things slightly but I FT'd the 21k and 28k last night, came in 1st and 2nd in chips, among about 10 beats/coolers I finished 4th and 7th. Lame Oh well!

And I run good on sundays. 6/7 last weekends I have ft'd or ft bubbled some pretty good sized tourneys. If only I was a box

I am epiphany86's current backer. He is definitely a solid investment. I would sell makeup to a new backer.

it is pretty standard to sell makeup to another backer. No he does not owe that makeup to me personally.

fwiw I've played a good bit with epiphany and can say they pretty solid from what I've seen.

Also if someone is willing to put me into everything I discussed wanting to play I would have no problem offering 60/40 to the backer.

Matt has expressed to me that he would like me to find someone new asap as he is cutting down sooner rather than later. Once again please pm me here or aim me (I posted my sn in my op).

I also have several other references on top of Matt if those are needed. Variance has to be on my side in the near future. It has been raping me for quite some time and we all know what goes around comes around.

Epiphany and I met a year or so ago and he taught me how to play MTTS. I am SkaDoodle on ftp. Although I no longer play MTTs mainly cash, I have had some pretty solid success playing MTTs in the past thanks to him. He definitely knows what he is doing.

Looks like yesterday was my last day of mtts for Matt. I told him I would grind the makeup away with low stakes plo cash. I will not be keeping money of his in my account.

So although it was talked about above, a backer WILL NOT need to buy makeup to run me. We will start at 0.

I decided to go through my stats and give a quick rundown for everyone. Our stake started in September and ended yesterday (as for MTTs). 5+ months...

Tournaments Entered - 1083
ITM - 137 (12.6%)
Final Tables - 20
Final Table Bubbles - 28
Winnings - $36,368
Stake final = -$6,500

As you can see I ran abysmal as ****. The good news is I ran as bad as possible over 5 months and only lost a small amount, so nobody needs to have millions to stake me.

it's not standard in a case like this. if you drop someone or quit backing and dont have someone set up to take the horses you think are +ev for a fee then those horses are free agents and no1 owes you money from before.

ya, i was sayin standard in other cases. i agree w sirlags alot though. esp w him saying sooner rather than later, your ending the agreement not the horse,just imo ur free

Yeah I know I don't owe him anything and any makeup that is worked off will be done so on the side of my tournaments for my future backer. I spoke with Matt about this earlier and we both agreed it sounded fine.

FYI had Matt handled things differently at any point throughout our stake or been less approachable/friendly I would just walk away and let him eat the makeup. But since he is a friend, I don't see a problem putting in 15-20 hours of low limit plo cash a week for him until its gone. He has been an amazingly understanding and professional person to work with and honestly we never had any issues. Even when theories on some hands differed, there was never so much as an argument or possible problem. I can only hope that a new backer would be as easy to work with!

Now that this is settled, who is interested in backing me?! LOL
Also anyone viewing this thread that may know of some backers looking for good grinders let me know, as I said I don't have many connections inside the online poker world.

I said a couple months ago that I was planning to cut down and for him to try to look for a new backer. He actually got dead even by getting like 25th or so in the $750k on Tilt and maybe fting a smaller tourney that night and I continued with the backing when I could have just dropped him as I was trying to let him find a new backer cuz I'm not a dick(though I probably should be moreso when it comes to backing). I am just in a cashflow online problem at this second and thats why all my horses are playing low for a couple weeks(when every single one of your horses goes on a $10k downswing in a month and youre on a $15k yourself, you can have online cashflow problems pretty quick) sigh I just can't click a neteller button like 2004 and do huge transfers. I told him that we could be back on mtts in a week or two if he hasn't found a new backer yet. So I think youre misintrepreting a little bit, it wasn't as if I said "you suck, youre cut" and then I'm expecting a new backer to come in and buy that makeup.

FYI the only reason I am playing plo cash to eat the makeup atm is because I told him about the fact that I was one of the best plo players on ftp. He offered to keep putting me in mtts and lower my buy ins until things changed (like he said up to a few weeks). I hate not playing a full schedule because I dislike downtime with no tournaments going, and variance in low stakes plo cash < variance in 1k+ size tournaments obviously. So I decided instead of taking shots and deepening my makeup that I would grind cash for a while and cut out as much makeup as possible before returning to tourneys.

Myself included Matt has some very sick horses (on top of being a very good player himself)...the variance that we all have gone through; has just been unfathomable. I have never seen anything like it happening to an entire stable and thank the fkn lord I don't play on my own money because I would be in an insane asylum for all the 95:5 and 99:1 beats I have taken with two tables left.

I appreciate the conversation going on here and people looking out for me as the stakee but in the future (of this thread) I'd like to keep all of the replies only to people interested in staking me or asking questions of myself or Matt. I just don't want someone to skip over me because theres 9 pages and 300 posts...
