For now, I have an agreement in principle with a backer in-full. If things fall through or if for some reason additional investment is ever needed, I will post here or PM those who have expressed interest.

We'll leave this thread open if anyone has additional comments...and my backer and I will post our agreement here after our reference exchange, which is pending.

I want to point out that words like "guarantee" mean something in the marketplace and cannot be used in a BoostedJ sense.

If you would let me get paid and be paid w/ FTP then I'm in for at least $500.

Here is the backing agreement between me and nicefish, which I hereby signoff on:

Nicefish agrees to guarantee SammyKid11 funds up to $20000 (USD) for his pursuit of Supernova Elite starting in January of 2010. Initial disbursement of funds will be $5000, and will proceed as follows.

If and when SammyKid11’s bankroll dips below the $3000 mark, nicefish will transfer him another $2000 as needed, up to a total of $20k if necessary.

As SammyKid11’s bankroll grows to a full (250 buyin for shortstacking 400NL and 200NL) amount, he will begin the process of paying back the stake plus $10000 profit. So, every time SammyKid11’s bankroll reaches the $22000 mark, he will transfer nicefish $2000 until the amount transferred to SammyKid11 has been paid back and $10000 interest has been paid.

SammyKid11 will play hands commensurate to reach the goal of SNE within a 26-week period, and should any funds still be owed to nicefish they will be paid upon completion of the total goal.

Reports will be sent to nicefish no less than three times weekly on all progress, including PT3 graphs and point totals. Concurrently, nicefish will remain reachable for expeditious transfers when/if necessary so progress is not stopped.

In the very unlikely event that the 20k stake is used and is still not enough to keep a comfortable (at least 100 buyin) bankroll at the NL400 level, SammyKid11 will move down and continue grinding until Supernova Elite is reached and the funds can be returned with interest to nicefish…or else additional staking (for additional interest) can be discussed with either nicefish or other backers to ensure the goal is reached and nicefish is fully compensated under the terms of this agreement.

SammyKid11 and nicefish will be privately exchanging personal details (phone, address, email, etc.) as well as references from known 2p2’ers privately as a means of ensuring the other’s integrity in this process.

I am confused. I thought the perks of supernova elite are like 110k. So with that, and all the possible profits from this stake. nicefish is only making 10k? Am I missing something?

He's making 5 figures for exerting almost zero effort, and he has the knowledge of the fact that so much bonus money will be earned it hardly even matters what I run like in regards to getting paid.

He's not the only person who feels like it's a pretty darn good deal, as several others have offered to stake in-full and a couple of dozen more have offered partial funding on this.

I hope you go busto so I can stake you for 2011.

except for the fact, that I've yet to see a graph with SECT where somebody ran above expectation...

Several people have stated that the results of SECT are not to be trusted. I'm not saying they are wrong but i'm saying don't take them as gospel either.

Things worked out great. I only put up $5k for him to get going and made 200% return.
At time it was quite stressful for him like when PS changed the NL buy ins. He pulled it off very nice adjusting to that.
No doubt he is a great guy and extremely hard working.
Wish him the best for the rest of the endeavor to get to SNE.

Nicefish was similarly a GREAT backer. Anyone considering taking on some backing...if there are multiple offers and nicefish is one of them, you can't go wrong with him.
