However, what happens is it takes me back to the current MEDIA list showing the most recent videos of the whole CR site....

Is there a way to just go back to the menu of just llama_88's videos...?

This just seems like a bunch of clicking ( and researching ) for something that should just be able to be found with one simple click.

Again, I perhaps am missing something, so if so, please let me know.

As the weeks go by, I find myself liking the revamped site more and more. One feature I really like ( and if this was on the original site, forgive me I never noticed it ) is the ability that if you are streaming a video from the site, and you need to leave for whatever reason, when you log back onto the site and go back to that specific video, it resumes from the place you were watching previously. Outstanding!

Keep up the good work...it is much appreciated! You guys rule!
The "Back" function to search results is something that we are addressing and plan to implement soon. I'm sorry for the current hassle, I've found myself frustrated with all the additional clicking as well.

As for the memory of where you are at while streaming, that's a new thing. Glad you like it!!

Re: CardRunners Site Launch/Downtime

Happy to see the symbols added to the index page for the videos that we have previously viewed.....this was a very important feature for me, so I Thank You for adding it.

I also see the back button starting to work now to go back to the index pages of our searches.

For me, it doesnt go back 100%...if I do a search on something and that search results in 2+pages....if I go to the lets say third page and download a video, if there is a second video in that series ( still on page 3 ) if I hit the back button, I find that it will go to page 1 of my search...not sure if this still will be tweeked, or if this is something that we just will have do deal with.

Either way, its soooo much better than having to go and RESEARCH again, so once again GREAT JOB implementing these changes. It makes navigating the site, a much more pleasant experience and a whole heck of a lot easier.

Kudos CR, I am enjoying the site more and more with each passing day.

Re: CardRunners Site Launch/Downtime

Hey, just a bit of feedback re. the new site - overall I like what's been done, just a couple of minor issues - one is that when you fullscreen now, you get the video screen with borders around it and the buttons like the fullscreen button, the play button etc all visible. Is there some option where you can just fill the screen with the video player like on the old site? I know sometimes it was in a sort of widescreen format with plain black at the top and bottom but even that is quite a bit neater imo. The other thing I've found is that when I pause a video, even just for a minute or so, often when I return to it it won't resume and says "disconnected" at the bottom. It's only a minor issue as it always works again if I refresh the screen. Thanks

Hey UC, I just got charged a membership fee for stoxpoker again. That shouldn't happen right? Considering CR and Stox have merged and I haven't subscribed to the new CR. My stoxpoker sn is nutzcracked.

This.

We are going to have a certain number of Stox users who are charged on PayPal and not given credit. Right after launch we were not sure what the issue was, so there will be some repeat mistakes to start June.

Re: CardRunners Site Launch/Downtime

For some reason I can't download videos or watch them directly on site. Everything was Ok about a month ago and now it's not. Any download starts with about 50 kb/s speed but quickly does down to like 20 kb/s and then stops completely at some point, so there is no way to download anything. When I try to watch the video stream on site it just never loads. Yes, I tried clearing browser cache and even used different browsers (IE 8 and latest firefox). I am a member of all other training sites as well and there is no problem with watching or downloading videos and my internet is pretty fast and working Ok with everything else.

Weird. We haven't heard of this from anyone else. Have you tried emailing support@cardrunners.com?

I'll ask Rodeoblue to chime in here. He's our technical guru.

Re: CardRunners Site Launch/Downtime

Has anything changed since everything was working? New ISP, computer, operating system, etc.? Where are you located geographically? Try turning off your internet modem for 10 minutes and restarting it.

Email us at support@cardrunners.com and mention this thread.

Re: CardRunners Site Launch/Downtime

No, everything regarding my computer hardware and software and my internet provider is the same as it was when I successfully downloaded my last video from CR. Geographically I'm in Moscow, Russia. A little update - same thing happened yesterday when I tried to download a DC video and I'm sure that 2 or 3 days ago it was fine. So the problem is definitely somewhere on my end. However, I was able to watch this DC vid directly on their site quickly and with no problems. BF videos show no problems as well, I download them with very healthy speed (the last one was yesterday as well). I'll try to get a video file from leggo today, last time it was Ok several days ago.

I myself understand that this is weird judging from my previous experience with computers and internet.

No, I'm not using a proxy. ISP is www.mosinter.net

Actually I was finally able to download a video from CR (and DC) just now, though I had to pause and continue it manually in some spots when the process froze. Weird, but whatever...

Re: CardRunners Site Launch/Downtime

Rodeo, I'm having problems with downloaded vids not playing. I downloaded two of verneer's mt micro vids and neither of them will play in WMP. I have v. 11, i7quad, windows 7 ultimate x64. I don't know where to start looking for the problem. I also ran into that problem a poster commented on where the streaming vid stops, then says cannot reconnect. This happened to me three times already.

btw, the error message I'm getting error C00D1197

Re: CardRunners Site Launch/Downtime

Try this:
Open WMP | Go to Tools | Internet Options | Connections | LAN Settings.
Uncheck "Automatically detect settings."
If you are using a proxy, check "Proxy server" for correct setting.

Has it only happened for those two videos? Which ones specifically? It's also possible the download was interrupted and the files are not complete, try redownloading one of the non-working vids and let me know its filesize if it still doesn't play.

Re: CardRunners Site Launch/Downtime

CLIMBING MT. MICRO - SEASON 2, PART 2, part 3, old vid from 2005 nice catch

54.2 mb, 56.3mb, 52.3mb, respectfully.

It's still not working, I thought having mozilla as default browser had something to do with it, so I changed it back to IE. I also didn't see anything resembling what you suggested in wmp, so i did that in ie. couldn't find "tools" in WMP, only found "options".
