CardRunners Site Launch/Downtime CardRunners Site Launch/Downtime

04-27-2010 , 03:32 PM
Effective 11:59 PM EST on Friday, April 30th, we will launch a new and improved version of CardRunners! The current website will be unavailable beginning 11:59 PM EST on Wednesday, April 28th when we begin this update. In order to get your CR fix during this downtime, we recommend you download any content you'd like to view and store it locally on your hard drive.

does that means stoxpoker site goes down during that time as well or is it going to stay up to say midnight april the 30?
04-27-2010 , 08:03 PM
Site will be down and then the archive will be up the same time as the new CR site.

lana, love you!

ok, unable to play any of the vids I downlaoded last night from stox, rather than a login pop-up I get the mini version of the CR page..

I thought we had until the end of April to download Stoxpoker videos. I had planned to download quite a few today. Sigh. Isn't that what was promised or did I miss something?
04-29-2010 , 05:35 AM
yes, what you missed was..

seeing people concerned if they were going to make the dead line, (and possibly not knowing what to download until the new website goes live),
the cardrunners team agreed to archive the stoxpoker video libary for one month only to let loyal stoxpoker members further download videos.
so with a month to further download videos if you are a cardrunners member in may, (and you should be i think ?), you will get an whole month to download the videos you missed.
at least that is how I understood it.

+1.

Another thing I just realised is that I never received any email about the stoxpoker rundown. So, assuming there are members who haven't visited the site in a month or so, they will still be completely in the dark and have missed the whole download option.

Ok that's great.

What MasterHolmes is saying is correct.

We are creating an archive of the Stox Videos through 5/31 that will provide a bit more time for the Stox members to download (and stream) the videos that they want. After 5/31, the archive will be removed, so I strongly advise members to download any and all videos that they wish to have.

Is the DRM removed from all of them? What happens after 5/1 when Stox goes offline? Will we have to login to the Stox videos with our CR accounts to watch, or will DRM just be gone if we download them now.

DRM will stay on all videos downloaded, even after Stox is offline.

To view videos and to acquire a DRM license, just use your CR login/password information.

I've been getting free access through FT. Is that still going to be available?
Also, I had it set so I got access to Stox first, then CR. But this month I hadn't played much, and hadn't unlocked either for next month yet. I intended to grind like crazy yesterday and today, but with Stox disappearing, and my CR Dashboard unavailable, I don't know how many total FTPoints I will need to get CR (assuming it's even still available through that offer), or how many I already have gotten.

Thanks.
