my cousin did very well for himself, he sold his house and 99% of his possessions and he and his wife decided they were going to live on a sailboat in the caribbean
last about 2 years, they still use the sailboat, but ended up a buying a house and repurchasing all new furniture etc because 24/7/365 life at sea was not for them, they don't even do the open ocean sailing but instead hire a crew to sail it to where they want to be (super common actually)
does your cus need a mistress? asking for a friend.
i was looking for boats online and a really nice new boat is mid 6 figs. a used one, like 5-10 years old still really modern and nice, a quarter mil. there's a neat one i saw from the 70s which still looks great, it looks totally dope it was listed for $30k. this is anti-real estate. this number goes down so hard and so fast this cannot be an investment on any level, this is outright lunacy why would anyone buy a boat???
i think i would really enjoy sailing for the first 3 days, then a little less for the next 5 days, then i'd just be okay with it, then i'd develop kidney stones and i'm alone in the middle of the ocean 2 weeks from the nearest hospital and i have no choice, i have just to pass these through my urethra and chew on a piece of wood or something and hope the boat doesn't run into an iceberg while i'm distracted by mindshattering pain
So maybe you should go crewed motoryacht? Then you could have a ship's surgeon!
