i'm looking for jobs and i realized my ideal job is US ambassador to england. because you don't have to do any diplomacy, england already maximum loves us. england is like our rich elderly grandma and we're just waiting around nearby for the inevitable to happen so we can finally move in and take over

The UK does seem to be leaning towards America. This scares and appalls me, on account of I see America as a dystopian hellhole in many ways.

or We Were Soldiers, starring Mal Gabson. costume design was great. they have him wearing a military helmet fastened with the chinstrap. few worse moments in the entire canon of film making.

My German opa was taken from his house by Russian soldiers at the end of the war and never heard from again. So was my uncle who was 15 at the time but he managed to escape captivity on the march to Russia

Imagine having your husband and son taken from your home by soldiers and becoming a refugee with two kids under 8 and not hearing anything about your husband ever again and not seeing your son or knowing what happened to him for a year
