i remember a story about this guy, i think he was an online poker player, i forget how i heard about it, but he wanted to kill himself. so he decided he'll squeeze every bit of life he's got left and take all his money and buy cocaine and rent hookers. and after like a week of full-on partying, he changed his mind, he realized life is great. just needed a supercharged dopamine boost. they should offer this therapy in hospitals.

I had a similar thought at my most serious point many years ago. I walked to this bridge and thought about jumping but was like ok before I do this I can just go to the bar two blocks from here and buy all the drinks I want. So I went to the bar and passed out there. This may or may not have been with a fake if when very young. Got woken up around 2am, and the bartender politely explained I owed $280. Then I in a daze walked home. And woke up the next morning like nothing happened.
