I don’t know what you mean by “picking up” but if you want to hire somebody, you just post a job listing and interview the candidates.

Personally i tend to only hire men. We do very physical work, and as I said, there’s nothing worse than paying when they’re not worth it.

i think you can get like a bunch of years legal residency if you buy a business, like a liquor store or something. and the first 7 years of the business are tax free or something, lotta people do this scam.

it seems they've upped it to 1 million or 500k for certain regions who've embraced it

about a decade ago i did some consulting projects with a firm that did targeted Chinese investments of 250k into projects in Ohio where the entire purpose of the investment was to obtain a green card (as part of the package they'd do all your green card paperwork for you and walk you through the process more so visa agents than financial advisors) and whether or not the investment panned out was really besides the point

a lot of us financial firms are crushing it doing these programs since fees are much higher and returns much lower because nobody is investing for the actual investment
