I moved to korea to teach English for 2 years then came back I been all over the damn place. I’m jealous of your LA weather i spent all afternoon shoveling snow.

I lived in South Lamar in 2017 so after you left. I liked it quite a bit. I was getting a grad degree so poor AF but as far as places to live and be poor it seemed better than average.

LA weather is awesome. One side effect of it that is annoying is that because it is so great, tons of places are older and havent been retrofitted for some sort of central air. It mostly doesn't matter, and places have window units, or you can get one of those mobile AC units, but coming from Texas where everything has central air, it is a downgrade.
Korea sounds cool. Were you in a big city?

AIOTT- before my mom moved out of Austin, she had a spot in a Condo on South Lamar behind that Maria's Taco Express. Cool area. It changed a lot, used to be hippies, now Im sure it is just unaffordable. What was the grad degree? UT? St. Eds?

There's still some hippies there. It wasn't too pricy for a big US city. LA is much moreso I'm sure.
