I use a little ratchet tubing cutter device

u can cut it with a hand saw/ hacksaw easy. never experimented with a copper cutter. i insist on the right tool for the job, and to measure once, cut twice!

but u want the end smooth to go into the sharkbite

home depot sells the cutters, just grab 1

Yeah that's what I figured. Homeowner = lots of tools you buy and only use once. Though I got a bunch of electrical things from my dad, and I can't remember if I've ever actually bought anything I've only used once. I even have his blow torch and solder but lol @ trying to use that for plumbing in 2020.

You won’t let folks talk about poker. You won’t let them talk about plumbing. You’re determined to keep this place silent!

Since Luke brought up plumbing, did I mention I had to replace my washing machine supply valves this year and also had to get a plumber in to replace my stack? I'll post pics when I get a chance. This ball valve pisses me off because I had it done like 4 or 5 years ago so there's no way it should have failed already

God dang, why does everything break in your world?

Pex can be cut with a box cutter

Did I mention that the control board and a valve on my 5 year old furnace broke last month. Did not try to fix that myself. Parts were covered but labor

Utility knife is listed in every How to cut pex article in the "don't" section. I guess it's harder to get a clean cut and some people cut through their fingers instead

Lol, never looked it up, but I've had great success with it, just don't be a dumb ass, ad wear a thimble if you must.

Only think that ever breaks of mine is my vehicles, but that’s because I buy them old and cheap. So when they break I just toss em out and get another.

I like my old Ford work van. Simpler to fix than these computerized fancy lads, and well-built in the 1st place

11-23-2020 , 01:26 PM
