plus you wouldn't believe the pvc piping setup i've got. it's probably all glued together, i'll probably end up snapping it and rendering it useless

I’m still not sure I got the right scope for me, I was planning a refractor, but I ended up getting a big reflector, so we’ll see. Should be here for 2nd oct, so plenty of time before Mars at opposition. Fun!

hmmm neat

my original plan was to get a regular/smaller scope and play around with that for a while, then buy a big one and use the smaller one as a spotting scope or idk what it's called but i see people use one to like get a general idea of what you're looking at while the huge scope takes extra long exposures of **** much farther away

Yes, my plan was similar, also I figured it would be good to build up to it, but this thing was a reasonable price, and I thought “**** it”. It’s probably gonna be bigger than I imagine, bordering on unpractical, but the plan is it will live in the car, and I can be ready wherever I go.
