I called insurance today to get a quote for van insurance. I was expecting a 2 minute call. He asked me basically my entire life story, had me on the phone for like 20minutes, and didn’t even give me a quote. He said he’d have to look in to it and get back to me. Then he didn’t call for hours, and when he did I was on the toilet so missed it. That was my day!

"It's only the old people and people with medical conditions dying, so it's not that bad" is a pretty horrible thing to say.

that will get you through their finest years, the stuff you'd think of as quintessential REM, the stuff before and after is very different

Monster is perhaps their best album but you'll notice a big shift away from the earlier melodramatic into a very upbeat stadium rock album - this was the direction they were going to shift into and then their drummer almost died from a hemorrhage or something mid concert - he decided he wanted to quit and they decided not to replace him and from there on out they kept the upbeat but more pop based without his influence

second favorite band after tool
thx, bro. I'll check it out

First of, im not on fulucks side on basically anything, secondly im pretty much an anti-patriot. However, I stand by "my country" 93% here. First of(not rly): logical that Sweden top the lists ATM, considering that the 2nd and 3rd Waves are predicted to be less and less dramatic exponentially.

2nd: Sweden is a rich country relatively speaking, so "we" can afford more tests.

3rd: Imo its not just the direct deaths that matters, but also the indirect one's, like suicide as a result of unemployment, and other misery that follows. Also, basically only people who were on the verge of death are dying afaik, sure its tragic and could have been done better, but they're hard decisions and I feel like Sweden have done better then most, except for a few smaller countries who could close the borders easier.

As a side note there is a lot of criticism inside of Sweden daily from various people, however i feel they're all morons , as i feel they should've spoken up in februari if at all.

Well thats my stand, the issue kinda gets me going as I'm semi-studying biology, but im willing to listen to counter-arguments as I respect most of you as a fellow introvert.

I don't really disagree with this.

fuluck, if he had a theory, it was basically that the USA should not shut anything down because freedom(?) and he liked to point to Sweden as the model for this because they had fewer legal restrictions. He however totally ignored the focus on social responsibility that Sweden promoted because again social responsibility is un-American.

I agree. People working with such people should've been restricted more then others etc imo, even if I was kinda hoping for billions of deaths out of egoistic purposes.

Well, i think my manic episode is over for this time, thank u all for being so nice!!

Since I’ve been in the work force, like 15 new housing estates have been build on island. I realise we have to accommodate everyone, and the population is rising, but when, if ever do you think we’re going to wise up and realise that perpetual growth is not a thing. These building companies here won’t be happy until all green belt land has a housing estate on it!

And the cruel irony is, if I want to take an old building and just change its use to a home without changing the footprint, I get told by the planners to go to hell. If it’s not putting money in the councils pockets, they don’t want to know.

Dabble is a NIMBY! Honestly not shocked. I expect all IoMers are.

Nim·by
A person who objects to the siting of something perceived as unpleasant or potentially dangerous in their own neighborhood, such as a landfill or hazardous waste facility, especially while raising no such objections to similar developments elsewhere.

Damn straight. I don’t want all these houses near my house! And yes, all Manx are, it’s these English come overs who like to ruin things. Let’s make it like London, they say.

But seriously, you can’t keep pumping out more people forever, so why wait until the entire island is a horrible city to figure that out, when you could figure it out now!

ItsSkyLol is really cute, and she’s from poor Europe, so maybe “getable” she also has a nice accent. I should go to Lithuania and just see if I can bump in to her.
