I work about 30, and I work hard for about 15 of those

So tell him you'd like to go but you don't want to be the one driving. Or take a tent and camp out so no one has to drive.

At friends house in the country, so one of us would have to stay sober to drive home.
I would go, if he agrees to be the sober one. F being sober at a kegger.

many colleagues spend a ton of energy defending how hard we work. we are grossly underpaid relative to our expertise and training, but academia is lulz work

You raise the minimum wage it is just going to raise the price of goods.

Also, if you pay some menial worker 15 dollars an hour, eventually they will be replaced by a machine.

We eliminate the income tax and it is more money in everyone's pocket. Replace it with a consumption tax.

And rich people aren't just sitting on their money. They are reinvesting it in their company and creating more jobs.

I don't get how you want people to be paid more money for providing less value than what they are being paid.

Watch these videos, Kristy.

Dammit!

That's not a spoiler because I said it before I watched the episode. Don't get your knickers in a twist.

He did offer to drive, but I still think going to a kegger and staying sober is a level of hell in which he does not belong.

Will get to videos later...for now...

1. No, already discussed itt
2. No
3. Insufficient
4. No
5. Never said that, and they already are being paid less than the value they bring

It kills me that none of you responding hippies seems to care that these companies are absolutely robbing you. You pay full price for goods and services, and then full price again in the form of taxes going to food stamps, low-income healthcare, childcare subsidies, and things of that ilk.

If you haven't figured it out by now Kristy, I want to get rid of a lot of gov't spending.
08-28-2015 , 07:26 PM
Of course you do, that is the entire function of white males between 25 and 40.

All you'd have if we took away that is Nascar and cream pie porn.
08-28-2015 , 07:32 PM
Nah, we'd still have mlb, apple, google, nfl, every movie ever made, apple, drugs, nike shoes, THE INTERNET.

Has the gov't ever produced any cool **** like that? No. Well I guess they sent us to the moon, so there's that.

No problem with that. Tons of waste.

However the guy in the videos is not only wrong, he's kinda dumb. He screwed up a bunch of pretty basic math, and perpetrated a few pretty-sounding logic fails. As well as presenting absolutely false information.

Not worth watching.

Kristy has not mentioned that a good portion of the folks on welfare/government assistance do not want a job, no matter what it pays.
Sterilize the poor.
You can't raise the cost of manufacturing goods or delivering a service without impacting the price of the deliverable.
If you could create jobs by paying everyone $15 /hour, those jobs would not offset the folks who become unemployed by companies that can no longer afford to employ them.

He's not dumb. He predicted the crash of 2008 2 years before it happened.

I bet you didn't even watch the whole first video.

JustJ...imma put this gently

WHAT THE ****ING **** DOES SOMEONE WHO IS NOT LOOKING FOR A JOB HAVE TO WITH A CONVERSATION ABOUT FAIR PAY FOR THOSE WHO WORK FULL TIME?

GET.
THE****.
OFF.
MY.
LAWN.

To the second point...
1. It still takes a certain number of people to produce the product.
2. There is an increased field of consumers to purchase your product when people are earning a fair wage. You think people are just gonna stop buying pillows, or going to the corner store for milk?
3. Your idea that it would raise prices to an inaffordable level is completely false...You can Google it, but best evidence shows that walmart would need to charge 0.03 more/product to pay their workers a min of $12.
4. The run away inflation bs has not played out in any case of the institution of a living wage

And last but not least, 4L you shady, life-wasting, ****s, stop looking down your noses--or miniscule peens, 'cause who could call that 3" rat race-- at the poor. I read your posts, you are not better than an entire group of people, and it is disgusting that you all continue to imply that.

But you better not have read any of that due to the aforementioned off-lawn-getting.

God, I hate people sometimes.

Why do you have to make things personal and get all emotional, Kristy?

Instead of shopping at Wal Mart because you don't think they pay their workers pay enough money, you could just as easily go to Costco, who pay fricking 15 dollars an hour for a cashier.

But they have to cut costs elsewhere, so you don't get grocery bags and you can't use most credit cards as payment.

There's no such thing as a free lunch.

I also like how you tell people to get off your lawn and then say people need to be taxed more.
