Probably not the changes you'd guess. I wouldn't adopt universal healthcare completely.
The service in the States is far superior because there are virtually no wait times. That is achieved by having a co-pay associated with treatment. I'd incorporate that to reduce the frivolous use waste of medical resources I see in Canada. You want to see a Dr. =$20, specialist=$30.
Parental leave benefits. Minimum 1 year.
Junior kindergarten.
Make state deficits illegal if you want to receive federal funding.
Increase corporate taxation.
Remove capital gains tax and include it in regular income tax.
Raise min. Wage to appropriate level and consider tying it to inflation.

Sadly, I was fully clothed. Their untended BBQ that is close to their house burst in to flames while I was in my own yard. Only some very minor damage to their siding and entrance.
