Historical pimps and ho's...that would be an awesome take on a tired party idea. Although, you'd probably just end up with too many bellbottoms and 80's outfits.

GW asked me if we wanted to do the Halloween Party, and I said I can't unless we tell people that confirming you're coming means you come. I don't care if you're sick, or your babysitter died, or you're on fire...at least one of the two of you hauls your ass over, or you do something like donate a $100 to a specific charity.

...and I'm off the hook.

But seriously, at our last party, 4 out of 15 couples cancelled the day of with weak, weak, ****.

Well, my deep moral compass and traditional values lead me to believe that a costume wedding is not the way to start a marriage. So, getting married on a Friday, no alcohol at the reception (not even BYO), and calling it "Halloween" are actually just steps along the path to nuptial destruction.

I would support a gender neutral form of that.
Only one parent should have to work to achieve a thoroughly middle class lifestyle.

I don't care which parent stays home with the kids, but one really should.

Alcohol banned by venue (bible belt KITN). I guess the pagan themed wedding and reception didn't ring up as ironic with the provider's sensibilities.

We went to a bar (read margaritaville) for our party after wedding. I paid for 75% of the drinks. Tilt paid the rest.

I think the tab was around $800 for like 10 people.
