I'm not a huge fan. Gluten-free is too heavy for sandwiches or toast.

I bake white bread when we want it, but usually buy 12 grain.

Today is Monday
The anti-gluten movement is disturbing.
Mondays, generally, are worse for the body than gluten.
F. Monday. Forget gluten.

I tell myself, just stick it out another year. She'll find a grove. The unpredictability is the hard part.
This popped into my mind in the shower, and wouldn't leave for the duration... here's some unsolicited story telling about what worked for me.

Hormones gotta hormone. Ive already forgotten your daughter's age, but when my oldest started the snotty/hateful phase around 12-13 two things helped.

1. Happy the Hippo, which is just my hand saying dickish and politically incorrect things

Her "You don't get it"
Happy creeps up and whispers in her ear, "yeahhh, they're losers. Let's kill them in their sleep and move to Vegas together!"

Her "I am getting fat"
Happy creeps up and whispers in her ear, "Have you considered an eating disorder, or drug addiction?"

Her "I can't wait until I'm old enough to move out"
Happy creeps up and whispers in her ear, "try teen pregnancy. NOTHING spells freedom like a welfare check, 6 consecutive weeks of your period, stitches down there, and a kid full of snot and poo."

I realize this sounds horrible, but not only did it diffuse attitude immediately, 'cause she couldn't wait to hear what awful thing I'd say next, it also opened the door for all the important conversations. Bringing it up means that you trust her with important subject matter, and gives her a dose of that adult freedom and respect (at least intellectually) that girls seem to really be craving when they act snotty. Acknowledging that need to grow and feel adult is number 2.

With my son, who loves to write, we are pretending to create a guidebook called, "How to be the world's worst person"...same end result; lots of conversations that would otherwise be awkward.

Your showers seem either more productive or more frightening than mine. That may be why women take so long in there.

I like the theme and the opportunities to deal with the crap. I see it spiraling into an actual murder conspiracy. Girl's are crazy.

I had a dream this morning about meeting Da3e, elrey & a few 4lifers I had already met on a basketball court.

Da3e was like 5'6 typical white guy.

elrey was like 4'10 Asian with a shirt that said "ELREY" on the back...

I did manage to step outside real quick to look at the blood moon. Could just about make it out, but couldn't really see much.

I'm the exact opposite of flakey. I never once agreed to meet anyone, and never once even implied that I would.
