I am pretty sure I just finished my Christmas shopping:

Spoiler:
Every one on my list is getting their own personalized version of this

I tried to do some manual labour and now have three blisters on my fingers.

Any pro tips for making them hurt less so I can finish the damn job?

I do manual labour every single day of my life and my hands are still as soft as a babies. I have no advice, I just felt like rubbing it in.

Manual labor, hand, rubbing it in... If only there was a solution to your problem that involved you not having to do the work at all.

Try hitting them.

I'll add to the list of pun options by mentioning that I am taking up a carpet. I have now learned that in addition to the annoying, but inevitable tacktrak around the edges, the previous owner thought that 100,000,000,000 industrial staples were in order.

I never hire anyone for home-improvement jobs I can do myself. I'm impossibly cheap that way. Except mudding and taping drywall--**** that job.

Was in Cartagena. Beautiful old city that was loaded with art, history and some proper restaurants, hotels and nightlife. The beaches in town were meh, but would still recommend visiting if you're looking for somewhere warm (hotter than hell). It's close and very cheap too

Gloves
On a brand new blister, poke it with a needle and put a bandaid on it (it may heal right away).

BRICKIE!

I thought Seven Psychopaths was good but not great.

In Bruges, on the other hand, ****ing brilliant!

What makes The Guard funny is that is that it toes the line between comedy and satire so well.

Those moments with his mother are funny and heartbreaking at the same time.

But god damn I wish there were ****ing subtitles.

You need a ton of nails/staples to hold the tack strip down. You have to stretch the carpet.

Today I get to participate in corporate team building. I think I might actually commit suicide instead. Okay, no I like living too much, but I may just crush the competition to show that I am the team...

I thought it, like all other things from the 80's was held together by Dep hair gel and a hatred of the gay community?

I have pulled out so many staples from the floor that I have half-filled a shopping bag....
...and I have not started on the tack track.
The columns of staples are about 6" apart, with staples every 3-4" down, across the whole room. It is absolutely, bat ****, insane.
