Yeah I'm pretty sure. We've known each other way longer than a few months, too fwiw.

As to the second question, 50/50 either it happens or it doesn't.

At that point, it'd be almost impossible to keep up a serious relationship with someone in America. There are also some very real financial benefits that would kick in the day I get married, but I'm honestly not too concerned with those.
You could always wait and see how things go for when she's done with school, though.
I don't really understand the concept of asking someone to marry you when you're not sure what the answer will be.
Also, do not do it over the phone. Like, seriously man. SERIOUSLY.

That said, I hope it works out the best way it could.

Sometimes when I'm handing change to a cashier, I touch her hand for a little longer than is appropriate...

I don't think marriage means what you think it means.

I'd never get married without going over possibilities in exhaustive detail.

That's a complicated question. We've been kinda/sorta dating for like a year, I guess. We started in February 2010ish, back when I thought I would be leaving for basic training that May. So it was supposed to be just a short term thing before I left and she went back to her college which was like six hours away. Then my ship date got pushed back five months, so we had that time where she was far away but we still talked a lot. Then I went to basic in September, and she wrote me a couple letters. I got one on the day I failed yet another PT test and was worried that I'd be discharged from the Air Force. That was my worst day by far, and the only time I cried. Anyway, it was a very lighthearted letter with in-jokes and stuff, but it cheered me the hell up, and I went on to pass the test on the next attempt.

Then I got to Keesler (in December) and called her to tell her how much her letter helped me. We talked for like three hours, in large part because I hadn't talked to a single person I knew in nearly three months (my family couldn't come to graduation), and then it took off from there.

So we've kind of been together for a little over a year, though I haven't actually seen her in person in seven months.
Good luck!!
