I understand this POV so well at this juncture in my life. My losing/breakeven stretch has affected me more wrt my depressive state than the social aspects of major depressive disorder. If I have an "aha" moment I'll be sure to let you in on the secret. Until then, I can only hope you just run good.

It is ridiculous how many videos I watched, HH reviews I did, and poker I talked last month in lieu of mindlessly grinding. I still get surprise sexed constantly.

also, the only way to guarantee success is to have both higher intelligence and higher emotional control (combination of tilt control + willingness to gamble + grind ethic) than most people. fail to satisfy any one of those criteria and success is still possible, but it's still a crapshoot. and i'd imagine the best way to circumvent any deficiencies in one of those areas is a very good coach.

also, as DIH taught, a faulty thought-model for approaching poker will stunt the growth of even those who possess the most raw talent.
