I used to think that, but I have come to think that most people are too stupid to get past the sound bites. most people I talked to didn't know what either candidate in the last election planned to do. most still don't know.

also the two party system is very flawed and makes it almost impossible for a third party candidate to win any real seats of power. we don't really have democracy any more

Yeah, I hear you. When Mayo was modding the lounge I really missed him, but being respectful really didn't get me anywhere with him over their either. There are times when he is tolerable ie. UK getting a new coach, Obama or Al Franken winning, or sexy late night telephone calls.

ya, both parties are filled with ******s. The biggest problem with democracy is that anyone can vote, if there were standards for intelligence and being informed on the issues everyone would be a lot better off imo.
