Okay. Here are some tips. Most are fairly obvious, but it seems like you really need help.

1) Your aim in an interview should be to impress the interviewer enough to get the job. That is your only aim.
2) Your answers to all questions should aim to achieve (1). If you believe a possible answer will not help you achieve (1) don't say it.
3) If you get asked about yourself, your answer should still be to achieve (1)
4) For example talk about your education, your work experience, what you enjoy doing and what drives you.
5) All the answers to (4) should make the interviewer think "I should hire this bloke". If your answer does not do that, come up with a different answer.
6) e.g. If I was asked that question I would talked about my work history. Then I would talk about what parts of those jobs would help me in the job I'm applying for.
7) If you want to talk about something other than your work/education history you need to talk about something that will help you with the job you are applying for. e.g. You're applying for a job as a labourer, you might say you go to gym and are physically fit. You'd say this because it helps your application as a physically fit man is ideal for being a labourer. Another example is if your applying for a job for a landscaper, then saying you work on your backyard all the time is okay.
8) There is no interview that saying you are on twitch is okay.

Hope that helps.

whoa whoa whoa, you're making this seem like that question was some kind of evaluation of luke as a potential employee. that question, the way it was presented, clearly indicated a pause in the "interview" portion of the conversation, and was a signal to luke to let his guard down and talk personally and honestly with the interviewer. that kind of stuff was off the record, of course. that's basic interviewer ethics. they have to keep it separate.

Did you guys ever stop and think, maybe Luke didn't really want the job
07-30-2019 , 06:14 PM
Clearly you people have a lot to learn on gaming the system.

'hmmmm so I'm here with a couple of milfs, and they clearly see 'company ass-hat asset written all over my fat face. Let me talk about some shiit.'

ass-hat and what was that term dabz used for fuluck?

Luke? lol

he's gonna be all f*cked up when he opens this thread

Poor old Luke. I feel frustrated by him too, because I watched some of his clips on twitch, and he seems totally normal. At least I have an excuse, he has no excuse to not be out there meeting the ladies and hanging out with his buddies. Get out there, Luke!
07-30-2019 , 06:52 PM
oh he does all that just fine.. goes to clubs and bars, has a girlfriend... he's got some weird disconnect though about some other life-situations lol
07-30-2019 , 07:26 PM
I don't think it's clear that Luke should have responded to that question with things specific to the job. That might have been covered in other areas of the interview. There's plenty of interviewers who will try to gauge how good of a "cultural" fit you'll be so maybe that was the sort of question it was. But even in that scenario I don't think "Twitch Streamer" is a great answer unless you're being interviewed by a 15 year old boy.

I guess so. I just felt bad for doing that because i felt like everyone else would do be doing that. I mean they have all that info right in front of them. tell them something they don't know.

but obviously, I am wrong. I'll ask my hr friend about it and see what I can improve on next time.

thanks for making it into a joke...

I hate interviews I always **** them up, but I guess I just don't know how to sell myself.

I will work with my hr friend on this.
