You can't blame him for people leaving, when he left like months ago!

So what is a reasonable net worth to retire with at 35, 2,000,000? Seems like if I can get a 5% return on the money, I should be able to grow the amount at 1-2% while living off the rest.

If you can live with your olds like Luke, $100 should do it.
03-07-2018 , 12:01 PM
I cannot live with the olds, they are nine hours away and still too close imo. I want to live in a Chilean town that’s close to the ocean AND the mountains

I mean, the money growing helps, but is it really that important? Don't need it once you're dead.

If I had a million, I would for sure give up work. Maybe even with less. Sure I might run out of money before I die, but that's for future me to worry about. I'd rather do no work but die broke than spend all my good years working.
03-07-2018 , 12:21 PM
But hey, don't listen to me, because I don't know what I'm talking about.

I would say 2,500,000+. The 500k+ is in case you need to make some massive adjustments to life without compromising your fund.
03-07-2018 , 12:27 PM
If you're already close, might as well go to 40 and throw a little on top.

I officially hate wisski

Omg, I really want the new version of the 3310, but I don't think I could live without my smartphone.

It has texts, calls, and snake. It even has the radio. That suited me just fine for years. I was very late in to the smartphone game.
