I know asbestos has some really handy properties that make it attractive to build with, but my god, why did they have to go and use it in literally everything.

Do you have to do asbestos abatement at your place?
03-22-2018 , 01:46 PM
I mean.. No? Not that I know of. Its basically just asbestos board, and titles, and also, probably in the artex. So apparently, if left alone and undamaged it's fine, but I'm a natural worrier.
03-22-2018 , 01:48 PM
I also don't know what an abatement is.
03-22-2018 , 01:52 PM
I'm just with the extended family. The entire conversation is about alcohol. How can that be a topic?

Anyway, let's talk about how great Coca Cola is. Omg I'm so good at drinking Coke. Sometimes when I've drank so much Coke that I'm sick of it, I just move on to cherry Coke. It's like, you can still drink, but it's a change.

The abatement is when you're demoing a place to do renos and you have to pay $$$ to have professionals in their spacesuits come and remove the asbestos. But yeah, if you're not ripping it out or disturbing it it's fine.

Do you drink non-diet Coca Cola? I don't think you're a fattie so you can't be drinking that much.
03-22-2018 , 02:31 PM
Non-diet? Get out of here with that ****.
03-22-2018 , 02:33 PM
I'd say I have a 500ml bottle at lunch, and a can or two at dinner. It's not a lot, but definitely still too much.

Also, the irony isn't lost on me.

Only issue is, someone down the line has had a go at removing the tiles, but left some, so there are a few damaged etc. Also, the ceiling has a few holes made in to it, which would surely release some fibres. Anyway, I think I might just pretend it doesn't exist, and if it gives me cancer 40 years down the line, well, that's a problem for future me.

As long as you're drinking diet, then carry on. I love me a can of coke zero with dinner but I try to only have it a few times a week. Couldn't see drinking it for lunch and dinner.
03-22-2018 , 03:26 PM
You make me sick
03-22-2018 , 03:29 PM
Hard to get drunk at lunch if you're just drinking coke.
