It appears most of the UrbanDictionary definitions do define it as outside of a current relationship. I thought it just meant with a stranger/someone you didn't know.

& some definitions don't mention relationships but the word examples do. It's all so confusing to me - probably just stay in.

No presents, no candy, no costumes, not enough songs for singalong, crappy decorations..

New Year's is the worst of all stat holidays.

Confirmed. My New Year's have been entirely confined to Ontario, Montreal, and Northern MN. Vegas might be ok. BUT...

Adding: "waiting three hours for cab" to list for all my locations.

i agree. untill i went to the casino last night and they had fireworks. whole ****, we got a mint spot so close they looked like they were going to rain down on us.

they lasted 15 mins and it was a AWESOME show. would defo go back next year. ( i hate nye as a holiday as a whole)

i went to a friends yesterday and he said they were looking for an accountant at his work. it's for "the arena" which is a stadium where Springsteen will be playing so. if i can get this job, I'll NEVER have to **** with tickettec again.

also it's in the city, so if i can snag this... i swear to god i will take that dog for a god dam walk!

I hate fireworks displays too. People who actually say, "Oooohh" "Ahhhhhhh" fill me with rage. Being amused and entertained by bright lights and big noises stops being ok around age three.

Best NYE was 1998. Combo of Party Like It's 1999 spirit and first time I had edibles. The brownie was so tasty I had a second one almost right away when I didn't feel anything yet. When I woke up the next afternoon I was still too high to drive.

Spent many NYEs in south Florida. NYE at bars/boats on the intercoastal followed by champagne on the beach is also pretty elite.

It's been a few years since I've gone out NYE /lololds

Amateur fireworks pretty meh but the international fireworks competition I saw one Canada Day from the Jacques Cartier bridge in Montreal were amazing. The fireworks in the backyard down the street at midnight last night not so amazing.

The fireworks I usually attend, because kids.

Listen with full volume, and then multiply by 1,000 people...because we watch from the block party on main street.

...and then remember that virtually ALL towns in this area have an absolutely crippling poverty problem, and many can't afford health insurance...

...but God forbid the rockets red glare with bombs bursting in air not happen on the 4th.
