I met a girl up here who was 21, single, had a 4 year old, didn't graduate highschool, came from a very poor family.
She got a full time job at Walmart and was able to buy a modest 3bdr, 2 bath home in town, after her first year. At the same time, she owns a vehicle, is able to buy new inexpensive furniture at a reasonable rate, and keeps her daughter looking presentable.
I think cost of living here is just about right. The rest of you are screwed.
Throw in a life partner...and you're basically earning pure profit. If you are educated and employable, but don't want to work at the mines or in logging, you are probably limited to a max 40-60k/yr job, but X2, that is gonna leave you with 50-90k (gross) if you don't lust after a lake home.
are you ****ing kidding me? she has a kid AND works at wallmart and she has a house?
**** off.. just **** right off..
you know they cut the Aussie rates to 1.5% 1. ****ing 5 percent.
GG house prices going to go up and up and up.
I got told i'd make 40k at a job the other week. won't even get me a rental
