Was thinking more about this, and I'm curious what you all think about wood-look tile?

I was thinking about it because I wanted a seamless floor through main level and it seemed like it would stand up to kitchen-level abuse that real wood would not.

It looks nice in the picture but I think it's hard to tell without seeing it in person. Do you ever watch Flip or Flop? They always run laminate throughout the living / dining / kitchen, which struck me as odd because they go with stone counters and I would think you would have hardwood floors before stone counters, but it works for them. I also see a lot of shows where they run hardwood throughout the main floor including the kitchen and they say it's fine for kitchens.

Stone countertops for a flip makes good sense to me. They need to sell quickly and that is a squeal feature. High end floors aren't as sexy/noticeable.

I am starting to think that working 13 hours and sleeping less than 4 and then working 13 hours and sleeping less than 4 and going back to work for 13 hours is not a healthy combination.
