I live in Brisbane. Great weather but it's so boring.

Last time i went to Crown, 3 years ago, games were soft and the poker room was packed. What's it like nowadays?

Melbourne is the go, there is always something to do and we get the best events in Australia. I grew up in Brisbane til I was 10 then we moved down here.

As far as Crown games are still just as soft and still pretty much always packed. Best room in AU by far. There's always debate about them raking too much but it's a pretty beatable game at pretty much all stakes there

The great thing about Melbourne is that EVERYTHING is in the city itself. You can have a lot of fun in one day, Not like here where all the fun is at least an hour and a half drive away.

Yea I recently got rid of my place due to seperation etc but I was in the Docklands. Pretty much never went further out than St Kilda/Richmond/Nth Melbourne/Docklands. The suburbs in Melbourne are pretty much useless imo although cheaper obviously I guess.

I havent been up there in a few years last time I was there I was going further North (Townsville) after a week in Surfers so hired a car and drove to Brisbane to make flights easier. Went out and had beers with a few people and dinner and couldnt really find anything worth doing for the rest of the 36 I was in Brisbane City. Shopping wasn't great, wasn't really a lot of bars. Maybe I just didn't look hard enough but ended up spending 30ish of 36 hours either in bed or in the pool at the hilton.

Yep. Shopping is boring. Nightlife is boring. There's a fair amount of home games around if you have the money. Poker's pretty popular here cos there's not much else to do. No one plays at the casino cos the rake is too damn high. 10% per pot last i was there. And it's always the same people playing and they're better than me so f that.

Good place to raise a family i guess. Not so much partying. Or sport. You got it better than us anyway down there.
