When I first moved up here, I took some online classes at the local college, including some econ classes cause I'd never taken any and I was curious what the fuss was about.

Fast forward a year, I was working with the librarian on a charity project that collects unwanted textbooks and ships them to places that need them...and my former econ professor had pledged some books.

I saw him leaving the library with an armful and chased him down to ask when I could pick up the textbooks...during a somewhat rushed bit of chitchat, because he was carrying a ton of books, he asked my name.

When I told him he said, "Kristy _____ from my class last spring?"

I said yup.

He dropped his books on the nearest table, shook my hand, and said "I'm so thrilled to finally meet you. Your discussion posts were amazing. I actually read them to my family, lol. I wish there was a grade above A...you would've gotten it." And then thanked me for making the class a joy to mark.
