Quick back story: My manager and I have had a clash of personality for a while; she's exceptionally cheap and hates when anything costs us money; even pennies. To be fair it's food retail the profit margin is pennies, but she goes to the extreme (within the law).
It came to a head when I was explaining why I had called facilities. Last night some one had unplugged a vital piece of equipment to clean around it, so when we came in it wasn't working. I was technically in charge so I tried to figure out what was wrong, asked others if they could knew and even called the manager in charge (diff. department) No one had a clue. So I called facilities--and being a weekend it would be over time and required the mgr in charge to OK it. Which he did.
Then boss lady comes in later on, after service call had been placed. Turns out the plugs were in the wrong outlets. Not being an electrician I had no idea--reminder I asked 2 other people and they didn't figure it out either.
So she blames me for not knowing that the people from last night screwed up. As I was explaining why I had made that decision she threw up her hands and walked away as I was in mid-sentence; something she had done several times before. After a year of taking **** this was the final act. So I clocked out, demanded a transfer and left.
Your boss is a woman...that explains a lot
