125 was a PR and that was my first try at 130, so I didn't expect to be successful. Misses are almost as important as makes imo.
Squats and deadlifts are more important from a strength aspect, but learning how to clean, jerk, and snatch are very important if you want to be good at athletics. Those lifts teach help teach you a kinesthetic sense (body awareness) that the "slow" lifts can't. The majority of power production in basically every athletic movement starts at the hips, mostly because of the huge muscles that control the hips.
I do C&Js because my goal is to compete in weightlifting competitions and just become a better athlete in general.
