was at an AA meeting tonight and we were talking about "spiritual experiences" and how Bill Wilson, the founder of AA, describes having a "whitelight moment", which I mentioned reading about being possibly associated with being given the Bella Donna Treatment to detoxify (a mild hallucinogen), and how he experimented with acid in the 1950s, in an attempt to find something that would aid in having a spiritual experience for those alcoholics that seemed unable to have one manifest itself in their lives. Also about how everything in life is a spiritual experience, if we can manage to minimize the ego-self and not let the monotony drag us down. Someone felt compelled to talk to me after the meeting in an attempt to keep my feet tied to the ground, but someday I will fly.

In one such hand I had 17 outs against a made straight. I honestly didn't even know that was possible.


I also witnessed an awesome hand of straight flush > straight flush where the floor refused to allow the losing straight flush to get entered into a high hand jackpot thing because the floor simply could not comprehend that two people could have a straight flush in the same hand. This despite the fact that the hands and the board were clearly laid out for the floor to see. That was odd.
