man I am so glad when I get voice-mail boxes in which the greeting is followed by the system message "Please leave a message after the tone. When you are finished leaving your message, hang up, or press # for more options." I always forget what I'm supposed to do after the tone, and whether I'm supposed to hang up or just wait fro someone to come on a respond.

nevermind, I actually find I usually don't need a system message explaining to me how to leave a voice mail anymore. It only took me 20 years, but I finally figured it out! gjge

Depends, do you actually want to contact that person?

If so the voicemail is worse because you'll never get the message.

If not then the email is worse.

Yes, I need to commincate with this person. the "call me" email--which is really a "leave me a message when you get my voice mail, and then I'll leave you a message when I get your voice mail, and then 3 days from now we might connect, instead of me just telling you wtf I want so we could have sorted it right now" email--makes me want to set up a face-to-face meeting so I can punch them.

I've never left a voicemail in my life true story. Phoning people is pretty ghey yeah. I do facetime a couple friends and #1TL pretty often though.
