Its good to have goals, though, try to see it as more of a challenge and less of a it's-going-to-suck experience if you wish to be successful. A doctor told me once not to try to quit smoking (
imo) until I had a year of sobriety, cause it's hard to give up too many things at once. I dunno how true that would be for me, but if you really enjoy red meat, maybe don't include that in things not to do aorn. The first time I "quit" I planned it to last 42days, and I made it without too much difficulty, however, I felt more messed up in my head in general once I returned to daily drinking. So be prepared for that- that taking an extended break may **** up what could have once been considered a "nice" daily drinking routine. Another thing to maybe be prepared for is that you might start to give a **** about stuff again, and it can be difficult to remember how to deal with this sensation appropriately.
