Hi 2+2er's! my name is Maxwell Anderson and i have been playing poker seriously now for 17 months and with every session i play i love the game more and more. I am 22 and just found this spark for poker in me this past year and a half, i mean i really found the muther f'n spark! I had always dabbled in poker in high school but never seriously not until my sophomore year of college. I started playing nl cash games every night with my friends from my hometown and friends/acquiescence from and at school. I realized that i could outplay my opponents on a daily basis(probably because i was a little more competitive then them)but i don't want to say i think i am smarter than my opponents because some are very well educated business majors at JAMES MADISON UNIVERSITY in Harrisburg VA. But i feel like i have a natural talent at improving at games, and getting better at things i like and am interested in. So any way we started with limits like 10 dollar minimum buy-in and 40 dollar max, with about 6,7 or 8 players, 10cent small blind 20cent bb, so basically like mini micro stakes. But man the games are soft and i mean soft, like turn a seven high flush and shove out of position, and you will get called off with ace high queen kick!!! its like they wanna pay u to show u how cool their hand was? or something? i don't freaking know. But it probably doesn't help that i have a poker table in my apartment at school and my home in Vienna VA, with 2 chip sets total. So i found that i could win multiple nights in a row, sometimes i could go like two weeks leaving the game in the positive. Then that's when i got super confident in my game and wanted to up the stakes and play unknown opponents for money that wasn't from my friends. I knew playing at a casino or on-line was going to be completely out of my normal friendly home cash game element. So i did research to figure what i was going to be getting myself into, i had to decide if i wanted to play on-line or play live. After reading allot on forums and watching every video related to poker i decided i wanted to play mostly live because the fields were constantly getting repd to be soft by on-line guys that have played 2 or 3 million hands. So that's when i was like BINGO!! im just gonna play on-line to play maximum hands to get maximum information and then have a maximum EDG! Well so i thought?but then i learned becoming a sucesfull winning player is a whole lot more than just playing an insane amount of hands, there is bankroll management, off the felt habits(the drinks), tougher opponents, evolving game, and basically an unlimited amount of variables that come into play and that is why i need my fellow 2+2er's help! from what i understand this is where the winning players talk. So i need people to give me feed back on pots i was involved in and tricky spots that i have found myself in. In the past 17 months i have played about 1.3 or 1.4 million hands and have improved my game ten folds, i played about 50,000 to 100,000 hands live 300,000 on my stars account with play money(cause im US based) and ive played 850,000 hands on carbon poker playing 2 to 3 tables at a time and some heads-up. During my poker craving i have dropped out of school and moved back home to cut my expenses and build bankroll, i play 1/2 and 2/5 full time and play 5 days of the week at Charleston Races and Sluts casino in west Virginia which is about an hour from my house.
