Oh he knows. I'm sure he has several spreadsheets and graphs that cover all eventualities and it's a sure thing.

If you do the chopper tour thing, just make sure the actual proposal is before or after so that the ring is either in your pocket or on her finger. Don't do the putting on part in the air as she may fling herself out of said chopper if it's fumbled. That puts a damper on things.
Yeah...it's nice to know I'm actually making an excellent (& easy) decision, unlike with the last proposal, which was a really really really terribad idea.

Yeah, plus I want her to be able hear whatever I decide to say during the proposal.

Grand Canyon at sunset seems nice. Know a guy who flies out there for his job & mentioned that he could hook me up with a fat discount, but he's the husband one of of my girlfriend's co-workers, & she hates the co-worker now, so that might be awkward.

I read that you had a good time with your mom, but were glad that it ended when it did. Good planning imo. Hope all is going great with you.

Prob felt like an excellent (& easy) decision the first time around too, stop Monday morning QB'ing

Oh you hopeless romantic you.
08-22-2012 , 01:50 PM
OK, same advice then. Propose and give the ring AWAY from the rail.

Ya, it was a good way of doing something together since I had been slacking off on visiting and stuff and she had a great summer with her 60th birthday BBQ and all.

I'm great thanks! Have to save up now that I'm broke again and need $ for a fall meetup bonanza.

You think I don't know? I was just telling Brickie.

You should let James be your wedding planner. He wants to get into a new field.

No...actually she kept pressuring me into it & I kept on saying I wanted to go a week without having a major fight before proposing.

It never happened.

I finally gave in & proposed anyway because I felt like I actually deserved to be treated like crap because I had low self-esteem & it was sort of self-perpetuating that she would treat me like crap, which made me feel even worse about myself, & thus that I definitely should be treated that way.

It was absolutely a terrible idea at the time, & on some level I knew it.

Me & my gf have never fought that way, spend every day together & have a great time every day, she treats me amazingly, actually cares about me, even if we argue it's over in like 5 mins & we never say anything hurtful to eachother, & I really couldn't picture my life without her. She actually makes me feel like I'm a good person & I deserve to be happy.

I learned a lot from past experience. This is not that.

Glad to hear it

Any word on what the plan for that is going to be? I assume I have to miss it if it isn't in 2 weeks. Hopefully somebody will do an excellent TR with pics.
