You guys want to hear the one about the difference between a Mathematician and an Engineer?
Well, there was this teapot, see, and it had no water in it. But anyways, they were both asked to make some tea. So the mathematician fills up the the teapot, turns on the burner, boils the water, and pours it into the teacup and steeps the tea for a few minutes. The engineer also fills the teapot up with water, heats it to a boil, pours it and steeps the tea for a bit. The next afternoon, they were again both asked to make a spot of tea, but there is still water left in the teapot from the previous day. Again, the engineer turns on the stove, boils the water pours the tea and lets it sit for a couple minutes. The mathematician, however, pours out the water, and puts the teapot back without turning on the stove, proudly declaring that he has now reduced the task to a previously solved problem.
