I don't think too much texting is the main problem. And three seems like a lot anyway for this early in the morning.

I'm thinking that her being in love with you is the biggest problem. The fact the she took a stupid valentines day gift the wrong way and you haven't set the record straight is a problem. He texts are a result of these two things.
