Well then it should not make you sad when someone passes other than you won't see them for awhile. I'm not saying you should hoop and holler but if you truly believe in an afterlife and that this afterlife is abundantly better than this life then you should feel a little bit happy for them. Sad that you can't see them but happy knowing they are in a better place. You should not be distraught.
