Welcome to the economics forum. This is an experimental forum for the discussion of economics. There is also a Politics forum for political discussion and Business, Finance, and Investing for discussing business related topics. There will certainly be some overlap with these forums, but we do ask that if a forum fits better in one of those forums that it be posted there.

In economic science positive economics is generally studied as opposed to normative economics. We are not going to restrict this forum to positive economics, but if you want to make a normative argument you must present a positive foundation. If you make a normative argument without a positive foundation you are really making a political (or possibly a business) argument and should post it there.

As always, the Two Plus Two forums Terms and Conditions apply to all users. As this is a forum for economic discussion rather than political discussion we would expect the tone of discussion remain above name calling and personal attacks.

There will be many users here who are studying economics. You are always free to discuss what you are currently studying, but we do ask that this not be used as a resource to do your home work for you.

Lastly as this is a new forum, the topic and rules are not as defined as they will; as it is up to the users fr a large part to set the tone of the forum. All comments from users are always welcome either by PM or in ATF.
