What would you say was the toughest leak to plug on your way up through the limits?
I sort of flew through all the limits on my way up to $200NL (30k hands for 50nl to 200nl), so I might not be the best person to ask.
Fair enough, well what would you say you worked on most to take you to the 400+ FR games?

That is one of the most entertaining stories I've ever read. Nice comeback.

1. Why aren't you a 400NL reg yet?
2. Biggest pot of your life?
3. Most memorable/impressive bluff you've ever made?
4. Don't you feel that most Asian girls look alike?

How do you keep your game ever evolveing as the games get tougher?
I review sessions everyday. Usually for about an hour. I havn't always done this, but it's helped me a lot recently.

I look at what regs are doing, and make adjustments or emulate if nessecary.
Do you have a certain process for your session reviews? how do you determine which hands to analyze? which opponents do you observe? are you taking notes as you review hhs & transfering them to pstars? which of your stats are you paying close attn to? any other details would be appreciated... thx

how do you improve?
best part of being a pro?
stupidest thing youve done drunk?
I just study a lot to improve. Talking and teaching poker helps me more than anything though.

Best part is the freedom, no question. Knowing I can be anywhere in the world with an internet connection and be able to support myself is great.

Studiest thing drunk. I dunno man, there have been some good ones.
Once at this formal gala at my university, I got up on stage, grabbed the mic and started giving a speech. I don't remember it, but apparently I swore quite a bit and embarrassed the director of my program a bit. Most people I've talked to have told me I was hilarious and got a really nice round of applause.

I was actually asked to MC the event, but turned it down so I could get hammered. I guess I got to do both.

Dunno where I will end up as of yet. I'll be for another year at least, I guess.

I really want to travel the world... always been a passion of mine.

I played in the Seoul APPT event which was great. Made a good amount of $$ in the cash games, though my tourny showing was poor.

I'm trying to qualify for the sydney package, but not very seriously. i'll play the sats if I happen to see them.

It's easily the most comfortable chair I've ever sat in, but I have nothing to compare it to in the same price range. Overall, I've been really happy with it and my back feels great. I actually feel better after sitting in it for a few hours.

To my game, proabably 'zen and the art of poker'. Some of it was BS, but it was really good for me to learn to play tight and deal with my emotions.

As far as strategy, lots of books have helped with different things. 'The theory of poker' probably helped me to make the most progress though.

After recently reading 'Hold'Em Poker for Advanced Players - By Sklansky', it's probably the best summary of everything I've read.

Valuebetting is key and very underrated. Also ramping up my aggression and knowing when and who I should 3-bet and/or squeeze.

This goes along with aggression, but learning how and when to bet/fold has helped me immensely.

RyanCMU is doing a great job in his thread pointing out a lot of mistakes I used to make.

Glad you liked the story.

1. I'm really trying to get myself in a financial situation where I could comfortably have a 20buyin downswing there and be ok. As is, I have lots of financial responsibilities and poker is my sole source of income.

This is why I envy a lot of you younger guys who can be a lot more aggressive with your bankrolls.

2. I'm not sure which was bigger (my DBs are all messed up)
In april I short bought into a 10/20NL game on party. I got ~$750 all in pre with KK vs AK and dude spiked an A. $1500 pot.
Or another time I short bought into 10/20, I shove $500 pre with KQo and got called in 2 spots by 99 and 66. I didn't improve. ~$1500 as well.

3. No particular bluff sticks out in my mind. The only thing I can think of was in this live tournament back in niagra falls. It was a $500r event, and I was really deep after about 3hrs in. I had JTs in the cutoff, and opened for 3xBB. I think i was sitting on about 200bbs, as was the BB (I think he covered actually). His name is something Sagel.. he got wsop coverage a few years ago. Anyways, he 3bets me waaaaay to big, to like 25bbs. I decide to call and try to hit huge. The flop came A high with two raggy cards, and all I had was an backdoor flush. He bet 50bbs into me and I tanked. There was just somehting that didnt feel right. SO I MIN-RAISED.

He himmed and hawed, showed an ace and folded.

4. Not at all. They are so distinct depending on where they're from.

I filter for the day and review all of the big pots. This helps me build my fish list, and note how regs played draws or big hands versus each other.

Then I pick a 'reg-of-the-day' and review all of thier hands where they go to showdown. I find ways to exploit them, or find things that I like and copy them.

I just add the notes right into stars. I'm sure theres an easier way, but its fine with me.

You're a really solid player, dunno why you wont admit that.

Anyways, I bet 'the steeze' are fun to party with. You guys don't seem to take yourselves too seriously and you have money. You seem like a nice enough, funny guy, so I'm sure you surround yourself with likeminded individuals.

PCA: 90% no.

Yes, I could probably drink more than vluff. I'd also probably have twice the hangover as him in the mornign though.

I doubt I would beat up DLM. I'm not much of a fighter.

Prodigy theory has ~99% chance of being true

I've been to both quebec city and montreal. I love montreal and always have a great time. Next time I'm there we should meet up.

Oh and regarding your special note:

1. Depends what style I'm playing. Today was 27% over 2k hands.
2.~$2000, but hopefully a lot more next year.
3. I don't play much live. 5/10NL is the highest.
4. No pic at the moment. I'm gettin a new computer soon, I'll post something when I have my initial setup completed.

asian women have small breasts from my experiences, how does this make you feel?

how come i pay you off even though you hardly bluff me?

dont you think the 200nl fr games are kinda sucking lately?

do you think its smart for me to drop outa school next semester and play poker till this this easy money is no longer availe?

Can you dance? if so will you teach me if I teach you how to kill with your bare hands?

My dog grace keeps stealing my socks outa the hamper and then makes me chase her. I think shes doing this for attention but it still bothers me, she doesnt seem to mind the beatings. what should i do?

what have you seen as my weaknesses, or what are you notes on me (you can be mean =)?

Do canadians just watch american tv mostly or do you guys have good shows and movies?

Yeah I remember. We talked a bit in January about ways to try to hit supernova elite.

Anyways, nothing really stood out about your game. You sort of went unnoticed (this isn't an insult and I know you know that). I could 3-bet you and squeeze you though, and you never seemed to care or play back. I always just figured you were on autopilot, grinding out at 2ptbb.

Details are blurry though, like you said, it was a while ago.

I don't know why people like me, you'd have to ask them. If I had to guess, probably because I'm upbeat and friendly with little to no ego. People have always told me I make them feel comfortable.

I'm not really a boob man, a handful has always been enough. I was once with a girl with F cups and it was way too much to deal with.

200NL has been OK. The regs are getting tougher, but there have been more fish these days. I'm having my best month of the year, so maybe I'm biased.

As for dropping out, poker will always be here and will always be beatable. I'd say get your diploma so you have something to fall back on. It's not hard to log tonnes of hours and go to school full time.

I can dance fairly well, I suppose. I think it'd be hard to teach you unless you had some rhyhtm. I've DJ'd for like 8yrs, and just find if you move to the beat and have fun, you're half way there. But yeah, learning to kill someone would be interesting.

I've never had a dog but beatings sound appropiate

Canadians mostly watch american TV/movies, though there is some rare quality canadian content. The US is a media powerhouse.

As for your other q's, sorry, I don't know who you are on stars. That said, I'm not going to go into strentghs/weaknesses of all my regular opponents. Doesn't make sense.
