Hero 18 yo, aggressive been crushing this very fishy game for about 5 months
villian 50yo fish

I open to 4£ UTG 6 handed with JJ, my first hand at the table.
UTG+1 flats
Flop JT7r i cbet 6£, he raises to 12£ quickly, i repop to 28£
he jams for 80£, i snap his head off.... obviously has the nuts...

Am i ever folding here?
I had a sick feeling he 89, however if im wrong i still got 10 outs... by the river

If you are ever folding here you should stop playing poker. Way to much money to made in this spot. Yes he can have 98, but he also will have: QQ, AJ, TT, 77, JT, T7

Why would you flat the raise? What extra value do we get assuming 100BB stacks

Pretty much any hand we stack on the flop with a raise we're going to stack without a raise.

There are tons of hands we lose value from by 3betting... Assuming we are behind we are now getting odds to stack them if the board pairs.

When we raise we fold out all worse EXCEPT for worse top two and and other sets. Thats' a really ****ing thin range for value.

Can't believe I'm responding to this, but OP you need to relax. Anything other than calling would be beyond atrocious. Even if he shows you his cards you are STILL getting the correct odds to call (albeit just barely). So know you did the right thing and move on.

It's a min-raise from villain that has position on us, and if we flat the raise on the flop, turn could be checked through and we lose bunch of value, or worse, we are forced to call when we're behind.

There are times that we want to avoid pushing villains off worse hands, but this isn't one of them.

Great post.

Fold PF next time.

Again,

what hands do we not stack that we otherwise would have if we flat?
