Playing somewhat passive live $5/10 game about a year ago. 9 handed game.

Villain opens $35 utg1 ($1200 effective) , I flat UTG2 with 89hh.
(kind of loose but everyone at table was pretty passive preflop besides villain and BB. So I had a pretty good seat at table obv) Everyone else folds.

Flop Ax6h4h. Villain checks, I bet $35. V calls. Pot $147 (rake)

Turn 2x. C/C

River 7h. V checks I bet $300. V quickly says all in after 4 seconds for $1130.

Not sure what to do here, but of my river over-betting range this is probably the lowest flush in that range since 78hh would bet turn with the additional equity.

Couldn't really find many bluffs here, also based on timing tell, couldn't really see villain quickly deciding to bluff shove AhXx or KhKx QhQx as a bluff. So I folded.

Villain actually showed the table after the hand too, but ill save results for later to not bias the analysis.

Snap call on the river.

You are getting 2-1 and you have a flush when he shouldn’t, after not continuing on the flop in a passive game.

Oh, and Fold pre to an UTG raise in bad position. Save the call for the button or blinds when their are some other passengers.

I think the river check raise is under bluffed. You beat the 32 and 25 flushes. The 35 is the nuts and the 647 are on board. Your relative hand strength is a bluff catcher.

Over folding in this spot is fine. If you can't find any bluffs, there probably are not any.

Yeah couldn't really find many bluffs besides some weird moderate showdown value hand with flush blocker, and those hands aren't in full combos because of my very polarized size. Those hands have incentive to just call because I'm representing flush or air.

At the same time obv he dosen't have many flush combos especially since Qx or lower flushes prob wouldn't raise. But most likely under bluffing with maybe 1 bluff combo and 4/5 flush combos.

Hand result: Villain tables AhJh
"said I thought you had a flush" lol

I think the 4 second pause is a fairly significant tell, given that his main bluffing candidate is also top pair. Would he consider for a more significant amount of time just calling with AhXx? That said, wow, what a sneaky line by him. I don't think I could find a fold in your spot.
