Club sticky spot - $6.5/$13 usd NLHE

Hi everyone - here's another semi-interesting situation I'm looking for weigh in on merits in a particular situation, and/or lack thereof for taking an unconventional line.

Hero starts with $3000 effective.
Villian covers (~$4500)

Table History: Game plays super ABC. Fit or fold in raised pots, with some limped pots going multiway. Rake here is 5% up to ~$25 max, buy in is roughly $650 - $ 3200 ish. Been at the table 3 hours or so.

Villain: Asian guy maybe 25-35 demographics. This guy is not a local, but from the look of things, maybe a reg at this particular casino. He does not speak the local dialect and other regs have mentioned he only speaks english. I've played with him in maybe 2-3 other sessions over the course of 2 separate years and he gives me a general impression of being overly aggro/spewy. He pounces on perceived weakness, and at this table of weak tight players, he feels at home; esp in position. Seen him call off $2000 PF with ATs against a reg after reg 4b shove. But I've also seem him make some really good exploitative folds and raises for value so he seems all over the place.

Hero: Also an asian guy - maybe 30-40 demographics. Can pass as a local if i don't open my mouth, but its obvious i'm not as soon as I speak. My image is on the tighter side due to rake implications, and since the V has sat down, I've changed gears to let him hang himself. I'm generally comfortable playing in 5/5 & 5/10 games in the US, but generally this game plays differently generally due to rake implications, and general skill gaps here in Asia. Most at table are very easy to read as weak/strong.

Hand 1: Hero is UTG, and limps, with the intention to iso the V when he raises on the BTN (which he will given a live read). MP1 limps, and folds to V who raises to $114 as expected. Unfortunately the short stacked SB jams all in for ~$165. While the V cant back raise and can only call, the SB has my range crushed as for the 3 hours at the table, he's only limped or folded unless holding a monster. I sigh limpfold and V calls it off showing 92 at showdown, drilling trips on the flop.

Hand 2: Hand two happens about an orbit later. 7 handed. Hero is in SB. MP2 and HJ limps, V in the CO raises to $52. Folds to Hero with JJ who calls. Villain immediately puts out hand in front of dealers chest and says "YOU JUST CALL??!?!?" (again, LOL live reads). All others fold.

Flop: 778

Hero checks, V bets $40. Hero calls.

Turn: 7783

Hero checks, V bets $52. Hero calls.

River: 77839

Hero checks, V bets $104.

Are we always just calling down given this line, or do we ever raise for value in this spot? It is hard to see what V is barreling small with that we beat, which is for his perceived value range except 89, 9T, A8, A9, which makes a small component of his overall uncapped range here.

That said, we have blockers to the nuts, but he is never arriving on the river with TJ or [more likely] 56xx here like this.

Against this guy, this deep, I think c/c all streets makes most sense with our hand. If you get aggro, he may put you in a really gross spot with just one medium overpair...I would wait for a real value situation to get aggro.
