PLO affecting my NL game PLO affecting my NL game

I been playing NL (5-10 live) for about 8 years now. About a year ago, I started playing PLO.

I notice my NL game is not as sharp as it was. I don't thin value bet as much, bluff rivers and check a lot on "scared" card, thus giving my opponent free cards. Wondering if anyone else experience this and have any insight on how to separate strategy between the two games? Should I just focus on mastering one game?

My original plan was to transition to PLO but I just recently move for family obligation. The poker room where I play now spreads PLO only once a week and NL through out the week.

I had a similar experience. NL also bores me to death. Not sure what to tell you since I basically just stopped playing NL. If some amazing nl game broke out I would still play in it, and would be very positive ev because it's a great game but anybody good would exploit me easily.

Just glad to know I am not the only one who experience this.

I've had the reverse happen to me. PLO made me realize that my game had stagnated and that NL affords a lot more freedom in when and how much to bet. In plo I rarely have any fold equity until at least the turn and you always have to bet for protection. Plo is fun because of the constant action, but nl hands are significantly more interesting and fun to play, even though you are playing far less hands. Also, full ring plo is trash way more then no is, even though there are way less PLO pros.

Yea, i also have this troubles, i want to train my head to switch from one game to another by playing on stars holdem/omaha
,for sure if you playing omaha a lot, holdem skills will suffer. You should not forget about holdem and learn your head to swotch the games
