Villain owned me in this previous hand:
Hero opens $20 K
T
on button, villain defends BB.
Flop 9
9
7
C/C Turn 3
C/C River K
I bet $25, he over-bet check-raises to $220. In retrospect, I made a very stupid call. In game, I make stupid calls sometimes.
That being said, it was the first hand of the session I'd seen him play and the over-bet tricked me. Still, it was dumb.
Since that hand in the session, I've gained massive respect for him: he's not doing anything stupid, being aggressive in the right spots, generally being nice and even took a very bad beat on the chin with a smile.
This hand, we are both deep > 400 BB's.
My image is aggressive and on the looser side of the spectrum, but definitely tighter than a couple of the fish at the table. I'm not sure exactly how villain views me (especially after hand 1), but I'm almost sure he thinks I have a clue about opening standards, position, odds, and some theory.
The hand:
Hero opens UTG $20 A
T
Villain cold calls next in
Loose passive in the CO calls. [$67]
Flop:
A
T
2
Hero bets $45, villain calls, CO calls. [$202]
Turn:
Q
Hero bets $165, villain calls, CO folds. [$532]
** I'll stop here. What range can we put villain on the calls this turn with a fish behind him? **
