I open under the gun Ah Ks to 35$ I have about 600$ behind ... Chinese guy to my immediate left 3 bets me rather large to 120$ ... This guy has been playing pretty straight forward but also has tried to take advantage of me because of my aggresion ... 4 bet me with 7-2 earlier in the night. I flat and the flop comes Qd 9d 6c .. he bets 140$ ... infloat thinking I might still have the best hand I have two overs if he has a Q .. and also I block The over pairs AA and KK ... the turn come the Kc I lead jam my stack of approx 300 left thinking I have the best hand here a lot I’m never folding if he shoves and if I check he is going to check back a lot ... he tanks for a bit and calls ended up having AA and scoops the pot ... Any advice on how to play this different or more profitable would be appreciated !!

HI,

Welcome to the forums.

Next time please try to write down your hh in a more readable, structured way. Then you can expect more answers as well.

With only 60bb effective vs an aggro V that 4! 72o, I prefer a 4! here and then call off to a shove.

As played fold the flop.

OP,

You won't get as much discussion as you hope for if you put the results in the original post.

If he 4bet you with 72, he is not tight.

3bet to $120 over $35 is not big...

With your stack, your utg open, he wouldn't 3bet you light - but you have AKo and $600 behind, I would just 4bet allin preflop.

AP - fold the flop

Welcome to forums. You will probably get beat up a little for this post and play. It isn't easy to misplay every decision in a hand but you succeeded at that here.

1. Agree with above poster that with your stack would have just 4 bet all in preflop.

2. I'm not looking to float flops with overs out of position. Can get behind it possibly in position but not OOP. Would have check folded if I somehow arrived with your hand in this situation(which I wouldn't have).

3. As played, if he was bluffing flop you hit your gin card. Why go all in when he probably can't call with worse? Check turn and call if he bets. If he checks, bet river.
