i went with 702housing last year ($1400) but they raised their prices, was able to get a furnished 1 bed condo at the meridian for $1300/mo for the series

i don't think i'll find better than that? (kinda want to live in a decent place if i'm there for 8 weeks)

no TV in the bedroom though...

I just got home from a mini poker trip and my sleep schedule is all ****ed up like usual. It's the middle of the night and I'm watching "Making A Murderer" on Netflix and it is ****ing amazing. So amazing that I texted two friends I haven't talked to in like a week to let them know about the show. These texts went out at like 4:15 am and 4:45 am. BOTH friends were watching the show when they got the texts! Is that as weird as I think it is? Either way, watch the show ASAP imo.

Fantastic show. Binge watched first 6 episodes yesterday. I'm always a sucker for the accused in these things. I really hate Brandon Dassey's public defender... I just want to knock that goofy smile off his face.

If you guys havent listened to the podcast Serial it's well worth it as well.

Does anyone know of any big games (5/10 NL or 5/5 PLO +) still go regularly in Detroit? Work has me going there for a few weeks and Id like to play like a degen if possible.

Can't tell much from bravo and Michigan seems weird (charity poker rooms??)

I checked the b&m forum but it seems dated and just wanted some quick insight.

Motorcity casino is the best of the three casinos for poker... You will find a 5/10 there most weekends. They are not on bravo.

Yes! I've seen the name on HBO on demand but had no idea it was a documentary/didn't really check it out at all because I'm a superstitious lol live pro and don't **** with words like that normally. tyvm.

I just got internet TV a couple of months ago on our big TV and I never watch on my phone or computer so I'm way behind.

The first series we watched was River, based on a 2+2er rec in the Chat thread - and my wife loved it. She was starting from "do we really need Netflix" and now she is "what's next on Netflix"

River is a BBC detective series about a guy who may really see ghosts from his past, or may just be psychotic, as he tries to solve the mystery of who killed his partner. We liked it a lot. Great cinematography and strong writing and acting.

FWIW a red flag isn't a bad thing when you are single lol...in fact it's basically a qualifier haha. I mean who wants some bland eharmony chick that wants an evening coffee? Might as well sit in a 2/4 limit game.
