In general if you weren't the aggressor on the previous street it's pretty standard to check to the agressor instead of betting into them for a variety of reasons.
Given the value range this person is representing and the way the hand played out I would assume KT/QJ/JT would be slightly better defends here for the straight removal effects. JT being especially good blocking JJ as well.
Overall KJ is probably high enough in your range where you might have to defend IF you think the player can bluff enough here. Hard telling without more information but given the odd turn check and then gross river overbet I would just fold and not be bothered too much by it.
Edit: Also your river bet is too big given the turn checks. You should be targeting weaker hands plus you won't be bluffing much after the turn checked through so a smaller sizing is likely better.
